Police departments mourn N.J. state trooper's death

Sean Cullen, 31, was struck by a car Monday night.

WEST DEPTFORD TWP. -- New Jersey State Police Trooper Sean Cullen's death in the line of duty prompted police departments across South Jersey to offer condolences to their fallen brother in blue.

Cullen, who was 31, was investigating an accident along I-295 in West Deptford shortly before 8:20 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital and pronounced dead early Tuesday morning. 

Cullen had been a state trooper for approximately two years and served with the Westampton Township Police Department before that. Here are just a few statements shared by law enforcement agencies in the wake of Cullen's death.
