OAKLYN -- Authorities have identified the man whose body was found floating in Newton Creek Tuesday.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office said the body of Marcus Fennell, 31, of Bridgeton, was discovered by fishermen at about 4:45 p.m. in the creek near the White Horse Pike.
The medical examiner ruled the cause of Fennell's death to be drowning after an autopsy was performed Wednesday. The manner of death is undetermined pending further investigation and toxicology testing, according to the prosecutor's office.
Authorities said preliminary findings indicated that Fennel's death does not appear to be suspicious.
