The sixth annual event included numerous Vietnam War veterans.
CAMDEN -- The Battleship New Jersey hosted its sixth annual Vietnam War Living History Day on Saturday at the Camden waterfront.
The event included Vietnam War re-enactors who were located throughout the ship and artifacts inside the officers' wardroom. An interview session with Vietnam veterans was also held in the wardroom.
Those who boarded the battleship were invited to ask veterans questions regarding their experiences during the conflict. The backgrounds of veterans who attended ranged from combat medics to recon scouts. Others, like Paul Hanson, said that the U.S.S. New Jersey probably saved his life while he was stationed in Vietnam.
