Police are seeking the identification of a man who drove up to two girls walking home.
CHERRY HILL TWP. -- Authorities are looking for a man who possibly attempted to lure two girls near a South Jersey Wawa Wednesday.
Two girls told police that they were walking home from the Wawa, located off Cooper Landing Road, when a man driving a blue, four door sedan, possibly a Buick, pulled up next to them and asked if they needed a ride home, police said.
The two girls then ran off and the man fled the scene in the area of South Lincoln and Garfield avenues, according to authorities.
Police describe the man as roughly 50 years old, balding with gray and white hair, as well as a gray and white beard.
Authorities received information that the man had been at the Wawa minutes earlier when the two girls were in the store.
Anyone who can identify this man is asked to contact Cherry Hill Police at 856-432-8824 or use the non-emergency number at 856-665-1200.
Information can also be sent anonymously to tips@cherryhillpolice.com.
Police are encouraging parents to remind their children not to talk to strangers and if they are approached, to run away and report the incident with a trusted adult.
