The shooting took place outside the Inn of the Dove, in Cherry Hill.

CAMDEN -- The man who allegedly shot and killed a 17-year-old city resident at a Cherry Hill motel earlier this year has been identified by authorities as a Burlington County resident.

Kevin FentressKevin Fentress, 21, of Burlington City, is sought by Camden County authorities.

Kevin Fentress, 21, of Burlington City, is wanted for the alleged murder of Jadyre Gordon. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Cherry Hill Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service are asking for the public's help with locating him.

Fentress -- who is also known as "Kev" and may have recently cut his hair, according to the prosecutor's office -- is approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

He is considered "armed and extremely dangerous," per the prosecutor's office, which adds that members of the public should not attempt to approach him.

Authorities say Gordon was attending a party at the Inn of the Dove when he was shot outside the business just before 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 28. Gordon and another victim, a 20-year-old Willingboro man who recovered from his injuries, were driven in a private vehicle to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Following the alleged altercation in one of the rooms while the party was being held, police investigation revealed the two men were apparently shot while inside of a vehicle that was in the parking lot near the front entrance of the motel complex.
