UPDATE: Family 'devastated' in wake of shooting
CAMDEN -- A fatal shooting reported Thursday evening outside of a city funeral home claimed the life of a 22-year-old attending his grandmother's viewing, media reports indicate.
According to philly.com, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at May Funeral Homes, along South 4th Street. According to her obituary, a viewing for Rosa G. Serrano was scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m.
Per 6ABC, the victim was 22-year-old Jonathan Vazquez. He was reportedly shot eight to 10 times in the head and torso and died at the scene.
Camden authorities had not released any information regarding the shooting as of Friday morning. Vazquez's slaying brings 2016's total of Camden City homicides to 14.
