BELLMAWR -- A tractor trailer fire on I-295 blocked traffic on the interstate Tuesday morning.
Reports of a truck fire in the Camden County borough first went out at about 9 a.m., and state troopers from the Bellmawr Barracks were still on the scene -- near an on ramp that takes drivers from Route 42 to 295 -- by 11 a.m. Traffic near mile marker 27 was closed while first responders worked.
Photos sent to NJ Advance Media by witnesses show a tractor trailer with its cab fully engulfed in flames.
Police said the driver of the truck, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Cooper Hospital in Camden. There was no immediate word on the driver's condition, and police could not immediately name a cause for the fire.
