CAMDEN -- A city man was sentenced to 12 years behind bars for his role in a 2012 shooting death, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Paul "PJ" Russell, 35, pleaded guilty back in April to first-degree aggravated manslaughter in the death of Joram R. Wise, a Camden man who was 25 at the time of his death.

According to the prosecutor's office, Wise was found dead in the parking lot of the Crestbury Apartments shortly before 10 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2012.
Wise's death was the first Camden homicide of 2012 -- a year that would eventually be capped off at 67 city slayings.
Russell must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence -- imposed by Superior Court Judge John T. Kelley -- before being eligible for parole, according to the prosecutor's office.
