New location for SJLWT's 'Swoop Into Summer' fundraiser

The event features live music by Fuddy, food and a raffle auction of plants

The South Jersey Land & Water Trust will be hosting its annual "Swoop Into Summer" fundraising event at Flying Fish Brewery . 900 Kennedy Blvd., Somerdale, this year, on Saturday, June 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. The event will feature live music from local musician "Fuddy," Flying Fish brew, food and a raffle auction of plants that are native to New Jersey.

All proceeds from the evening will go toward funding SJLWT's ongoing work in land preservation, watershed assessments, volunteer training, open space stewardship, natural resource conservation and education about South Jersey's cultural, historical, and natural treasures.

Tickets are $30 per SJLWT member and $35 per nonmember; the ticket price includes two full beer pours and complementary food pairings, a Flying Fish pint glass and a guided tour of the brewing facility. Additional drinks may be purchased at the cash bar. Tickets may be purchased online at www.sjlandwater.org/event-directory.

The South Jersey Land & Water Trust (SJLWT) was formed in 1991 and has assisted in preserving over 1,900 acres of farmland and open space throughout South Jersey. This includes Gloucester County's first state park, Tall Pines State Preserve, which was preserved in 2015. The trust conducts monthly community cleanups, walks in the woods, and watershed assessments, including many opportunities to earn volunteer hours or to simply spend time in nature.
