CAMDEN -- A city man already behind bars in state prison for a parole violation was served with murder charges for his alleged role in the shooting death of Britton Knox, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Jermaine Burnett, 23, is accused of gunning down Knox, 28, also of Camden, late last month on the 1300 block of Browning Street. Camden County police found Knox on the 1300 block of Browning Street suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Burnett is scheduled to be arraigned Monday before Superior Court Judge Edward J. McBride Jr. at the Camden County Hall of Justice.
