New Jersey State Police are investigating what caused a car to overturn on the roadway just before 9 a.m. Saturday.
WINSLOW TOWNSHIP -- New Jersey State Police are investigating the cause of a crash that injured one and closed both lanes of the Atlantic City Expressway for a short time Saturday morning.
Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams said a car overturned on the eastbound lanes of the roadway near milemarker 36.2 in Winslow Township at 8:53 a.m.
The female driver of the vehicle sustained moderate injuries and was transported by helicopter to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
Man already in prison charged with murder
Both lanes of the expressway were shut down for about 15 minutes to allow the helicopter to land.
The right lane of the roadway remained open as authorities then investigated the crash. All lanes were open by 10:17 a.m.
