PHILADELPHIA -- The mother of a 4-year-old girl who found a gun in her home and then shot and killed herself has been charged, a report says.

It was Thursday shortly after noontime when the girl is said to have found a gun in a closet and shot herself in the eye.
The girl was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 1:01 p.m., 6ABC reported.
An arrest warrant has also been issued for Holmes' boyfriend, identified as Demetrius Williams. He is facing involuntary manslaughter and related charges, according to the report.
Authorities say Holmes attempted to cover up the shooting.

A memorial to the girl has been growing outside the home where the incident occurred in the 1800 block of North 20th Street.
At a vigil held there Friday night, organizers called on parents to lock up their guns to keep them away from their children.
