Bystanders assisted the cab driver after he was stabbed in Camden, reports say.
CAMDEN -- A cab driver was stabbed multiple times after an argument with a passenger Wednesday, 6abc reports.
The 5-Star cab driver and passenger reportedly got into an argument over the fare, according to reports.
The 50-year-old cab driver was stabbed around midnight in the area of State and North Front streets near John Wesley Apartments, reports say.
According to NBC10, the driver was stabbed seven times, in the chest and shoulder, and bystanders could hear screams coming from the cab.
The suspect fled when bystanders approached the cab to help, NBC reports.
A bystander reportedly took the driver to Cooper University Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
