Camden City's 2016 homicide total has climbed to 25.
CAMDEN -- A city man shot last week died late Wednesday as a result of wounds sustained in the incident, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Anthony Rosato, 53, was pronounced dead at approximately at 8:38 p.m. at Cooper University Hospital, where he was transported following the June 19 shooting that left him suffering from unspecified gunshot wounds.
Police found Rosato near the 400 block of Washington Street following a 911 call. The investigation into the shooting continues and no arrests have been made, according to the prosecutor's office.
Rosato's death marks the 25th Camden City homicide of 2016.
'We were supposed to grow old together'

Also, a second overnight shooting reportedly occurred in Camden City early Thursday, leaving a 30-year-old man in serious but stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the stomach.
