Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash Sunday.

WINSLOW TWP. -- A 21-year-old Williamstown man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon when he collided with a car on Route 73 and was thrown from the motorcycle, authorities said.

Joshua Brown was driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Route 73 when he collided with a car at 5:44 p.m. near Westbury Drive, according to Winslow Township Police.

Brown was separated from the motorcycle and landed on the northbound shoulder of 73, police said. The motorcycle continued off the roadway and broke into multiple pieces before striking a tree and landing in a grass field, police said.

The battery of the motorcycle hit a 2011 Jeep traveling southbound on Route 73, which was closed for six hours during the crash investigation.

The drivers of the two other cars involved were not injured in the collision, police said.
