Homeland Security Investigations assisted with the search warrant execution.

GLOUCESTER CITY -- A joint investigation by authorities from across Camden County resulted in the arrest of a city man who was allegedly in possession of more than 20,000 images of child pornography.

Christopher J. Campi, 48, is charged with second-degree distribution and third-degree possession as a result of a search warrant execution on Wednesday, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit, working in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations, Gloucester Township, Barrington and Gloucester City police departments as well as Camden County Sheriff's Department Tactical Team, executed the search warrant on the 300 block of Walnut Avenue.

Child porn suspect wants out of jail

According to the prosecutor's office, authorities received information regarding a resident living at that Walnut Avenue address who was reportedly in possession of child pornography. "Numerous" digital media devices were found there and an "onsite preview" of a computer there allegedly revealed the more than 20,000 images.

Campi was sent to the Camden County Jail on $100,000 full-cash bail.
