The pair are accused of robbing a food market in Washington Township.

WOODBURY -- A Gloucester County grand jury has indicted a Palmyra man on charges that he robbed a store with the help of a knife-wielding juvenile.

Authorities allege that Simieon E. Alicea, 19, entered the Nik Nak Food Market on Woodbury-Turnersville Road in Washington Township on Dec. 30, 2015.

He was accompanied by a minor who displayed a knife as the pair threatened the clerk, according to the complaint signed by police.

Alicea and the youth allegedly left the store with two cash register drawers containing about $674.

Alicea was indicted on charges of first-degree robbery and first-degree employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime.

He was arrested in February along with two other Camden County men and a juvenile. The group is believed to be responsible for a string of armed robberies in Gloucester Township and Washington Township in November and December of last year, according to Gloucester Township police.

At the time, Alicea was jailed on $500,000 bail, while the juvenile, identified by police as 17 years old, was placed in the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center.

In announcing the arrests in February, police linked the group to three knifepoint robberies in Gloucester Township. In those cases, a single male or group of males carried out the crimes, robbing the same 7-Eleven store twice and also targeting a pizza delivery driver.
