A vendor protesting police brutality receives apology, will return to mall, report says
CHERRY HILL TWP. -- A T-shirt vendor who was told to stop selling shirts that called for an end to police brutality received a corporate apology, Philly.com reports.
Amir Miller was selling T-shirts at the Cherry Hill Mall under his business name Teary Eyez last month when mall management asked him to get rid of shirts from his inventory that said "THIS HAS TO STOP!," according to reports.
The shirts also had a picture of two stick-figure police officers beating up a person on the ground and officers in the mall reportedly raised concerns.
A shopper also complained to Miller.
As a result, the 30-year-old closed his business last month.
A corporate apology and invite to return to the mall with his business was sent to Miller and he is anticipating re-opening come January, according to Philly.com.
