The PATCO officer who used pepper spray on passenger was fired, report says.
CHERRY HILL -- A PATCO police officer was fired stemming from an altercation with a train passenger who was knocked onto the railroad tracks, Philly.com reports.
Michael Fiocca, a Port Authority Transit Corp. officer since 2014, was fired from his job after being suspended since May, the report says.
The incident occurred at the Woodcrest Station when Fiocca used pepper spray on Ryan Patterson, 48, and then hit him with a baton when Patterson allegedly resisted arrest.
Patterson, who was later cited with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, then reportedly fell onto the tracks during the altercation with Fiocca
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office did not file charges against Fiocca, Philly.com reports.
