Rowan University students celebrate homecoming block party Friday evening.
GLASSBORO - Rowan University students gathered on Rowan Boulevard Friday evening to celebrate the university's 2015 homecoming block party. This year's theme was "Back to the Future," since Oct. 21, 2015 - otherwise known as Back to the Future Day - is approaching.
Food vendors began serving up dinner while the Heartbeats played music for the crowd to enjoy. Balloon animals were being crafted and groups of people slid down a giant inflatable slide. "The Prof," Rowan University's mascot, was seen dancing, playing cornhole and taking selfies with students.
This is the second year for the university's homecoming block party. Last year's theme was PROFtoberfest.

After the block party commenced, people began making way for a 1981 DeLorean, driven by owner Ron Reed.
The car was parked, doors were opened, and patrons began taking pictures next to the iconic vehicle and Rowan University junior Tyler Waddington, who was dressed as Back to the Future's Dr. Emmet Brown.
