Camden man charged in Woodbury shooting

The shooting occurred Sunday morning at a gas station.

WOODBURY -- A Camden man was charged with attempted homicide after a shooting at a gas station on Sunday morning, according to city police.

Officers responded to the 76 Gas Station on Mantua Avenue around 10:45 a.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired.

A review of surveillance camera footage revealed that one man fired several shots at multiple victims at close range, police said.

No one was injured in the incident.

Authorities identified Khalil Sanders, 19, as the alleged shooter and he was arrested Monday in Woodbury.

Sanders is charged with two counts of attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Sanders was placed in Salem County Correctional Facility on $300,000 full cash bail.
