Cosmetology students give free cuts in the barber shop on the Battleship N.J. Saturday morning.
CAMDEN - Rizzieri Aveda students offered free buzz cuts in the barber shop of the Battleship New Jersey Saturday morning.
With the back-to-school season around the corner, selected students put their skills to the test. Trimmers, clippers, blow dryers filled the tables while small pieces of hair collected on the floor. Hand massages were also available to the patrons.
Each session can serve as one of the required cuts students need to perform before graduation. All of the volunteers were seniors, having acquired 600 hours of schooling, with commencement only a few months away.

Being a student at Rizzieri Aveda is a 9-month commitment for a full-time student.
"They really support the students," Denester Rochelle explains about the school. "There are lots of opportunities for extra work. The whole Rizzieri family is involved." Rochelle will graduate from the program in November.
