Hillary Clinton used a New Jersey lawsuit to attack Donald Trump in New Hampshire.

TRENTON -- Campaigning in New Hampshire on Monday, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton criticized Republican rival Donald Trump for the treatment an employee at his Pine Hill golf course allegedly received after coming out as gay.

Clinton, accompanied in Manchester by U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, recited the story of Eleazar Andres, who claimed in a lawsuit that he was the subject of harassment after telling his co-workers of his sexual orientation.

Andres, of Lindenwold, said he was subject to anti-gay slurs and was hit with golf balls and rocks, while supervisors did nothing. He was fired after saying he could not go back to work because he didn't feel safe, the lawsuit claims.

Did Trump N.J. golf course discriminate?

"It is deeply disturbing that instead of stepping in to stop the tormentors, Trump's golf club turned on the victim for coming forward," Clinton said. "If that's how Donald Trump runs his business, what does that say about how he would run our country?

The lawsuit, filed in state Superior Court in Camden County, was reported Monday by NJ Advance Media.

In the suit, which is headed for mediation, Andres said had to leave his job for medical treatment after he was hit by a rock thrown by a co-worker, and when another supervisor also refused to take action, he filed a police report and said he did not feel safe coming to work. The golf club responded by firing him.

Clinton said the incident was "a painful reminder of the harassment, violence, and discrimination that too many LGBT Americans still face every day."

She also took aim at Trump's business record in Atlantic City, where his casino companies went bankrupt five times.

"Has anyone here been to a casino?" she said. "He lost a billion dollars running casinos. Who does that?"
