Martino Cartier caused the 23-year-old 'pain, shock and mental' anguish after rushing through a haircut, according to the suit
NEW YORK -- A New Jersey celebrity stylist who allegedly scraped a model's neck during a public hair cutting demonstration earlier this year is being sued for $5 million.
Michelle Kalinkina says Martino Cartier was "careless, negligent and reckless" by cutting her hair too fast at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on March 7, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court in Manhattan on Wednesday.
Kalinkina says the stylist's scissors cut her neck and left her with a scar. The mishap also caused the 23-year-old "pain, shock and mental anguish," court papers say.
Cartier, whose website says he has done work at the Golden Globe Awards and in Vogue magazine has salons in Sewell and Cherry Hill.
