Police said the woman was arrested after a two-month investigation.

OAKLYN -- A 54-year-old woman was arrested Thursday on prostitution charges  and $46,372 in cash was seized at a massage parlor, Oaklyn police said.

Niu Yinqiu was arrested when police executed a search warrant at her business, Natural Healing, at 1108 White Horse Pike, police said in a statement.

Officers seized the cash and other evidence of prostitution, according to Lt. Craig Stauts. He said there is no evidence that Yinqiu employed anyone else at the business or that anyone else engaged in prostitution there.

Yinqiu was charged with prostitution, promoting prostitution and maintaining a nuisance. She was taken to the Camden County Jail in lieu of $21,000 full cash bail, police said.

Her arrest came after a two-month investigation also involving the Camden County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit, Homeland Security Investigations and Enforcement and Removal Operations.

Stauts said the department believes Yinqiu is a legal resident of the U.S.

He did not say why police first began to suspect Yinqiu was running an allegedly illicit business. Officers did not uncover any indication that she was using internet advertisements or posts to attract customers, he said.

Prostitution arrests are rare in the tiny borough of less than a square mile. Stauts said that in his nearly 20 years employed there, there has been only one other similar arrest about 15 years ago.
