The bi-state authority is seeking public feedback.

CAMDEN -- As part of a push to "better serve the needs of its customers and stakeholders," the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) is soliciting feedback from the public.

Input gleaned from a public opinion survey will be put to use as part of the authority's five-year strategic plan. The DRPA operates the Walt Whitman, Ben Franklin, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross bridges across the Delaware River as well as the PATCO rail line.

"Recently, the authority initiated a new strategic planning process which is designed to ensure that we are in alignment with our mission and shared values," DRPA CEO John T. Hanson said in a statement last week. "This public opinion survey is designed to help clarify our future direction, define priorities and help us realize our vision to be highly regarded as a world-class stewardship organization."

Survey questions cover topics such as frequency of use, reasons for use, opinions of the DRPA and an opportunity to offer comments on the bridges and PATCO.

DRPA officials say the survey takes three minutes to complete and will allow the bi-state authority to "develop an understanding of the perception of the agency and its services, and to identify ways in which we can better serve the needs of our riders and commuters."
