UPDATE: The inmate is back in custody.
WINSLOW TWP. -- Police are looking for a man who ran away from the grounds of Ancora Hospital on Saturday morning.
Word that Panagioti Souris, 43, had escaped from the Spring Garden Road facility first got out at about 10 a.m. An alert issued by the Winslow Township Police Department indicated that he is a Bayside State Prison inmate who was being held at a minimum-security unit located on the hospital's campus. Souris was found missing during a bed check, and had still not been located by the morning head count.

Investigators say Souris is likely still in the area, and that he may have been sighted on Beebetown Road, near the Sherry Lyn Woods neighborhood. Souris is described as a white man, standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 205 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his arm, and was last seen wearing a white shirt, gray sweatpants and white Reebok sneakers. Souris was also sporting a heavy beard, but is believed to have shaved shortly before he escaped.
The Department of Corrections said Souris, incarcerated on various substance charges, was coming up for parole in December of 2016. The escape could possibly add several years onto his sentence.
Anyone with information should call 911 immediately, police say, and residents are warned not to make contact with Souris if they see him.
