Andre Wesley is charged with raping women in Trenton from March through November.
TRENTON - A Willingboro man accused raping and beating a woman in Camden last month has been charged with four additional rapes in Trenton throughout the past year, Mercer County authorities aaid Wednesday.
Andre Wesley, 30, is charged with attempted murder, multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault and related charges Tuesday for four separate attacks on women from March through November.
Prosecutors said the first attack was on March 31 when Wesley allegedly raped a woman on Elmer Street and cut her neck and leg. The woman was able get away but suffered a serious cut to her leg that she needed emergency surgery, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office and Trenton police said in a joint statement.
On Sept. 22, Wesley is charged with taking a woman to a Chestnut Avenue house where he punched, choked and raped her before locking her in a bedroom on the second floor, prosecutors said.
The woman waited until she heard Wesley leave and then climbed out of a window and escaped, the statement said.
The final two crimes both occurred on Nov. 17.
One woman said Wesley raped her and stabbed her in the neck with a pair of scissors, prosecutors said.

On the same day, another woman was found at the intersection of South Clinton and Hamilton Avenues with multiple facial fractures, according to the statement.
The second woman said a man - later identified as Wesley - had raped her, punched her multiple times in the face and strangled her.
The newest charges come just weeks after Wesley's arrest in Camden for a similar offense. He is accused of approaching a woman in a van, forcing her into empty lot and sexually assaulting her in Camden on Nov. 27, according to Camden County Police.
Investigators found Wesley at his Willingboro home earlier this month when they went to execute a search warrant. Camden County police said he fought officers while armed with a knife but that police were able to take him into custody.
Wesley has prior convictions for sexual assault, assault and theft. He is being held in the Camden County Jail on a $2 million bail and his bail in Mercer County has been set at $1 million.
