The Aug. 3 incident caused a complete evacuation.
CAMDEN -- A Camden County man has been arrested on charges he called in a bomb threat to the Camden County Board of Social Services office earlier this year.
George Myers, of Runnemeade, called in the threat on Aug. 3, according to the Camden County Sheriff's Department.
The building at 600 Market Street, which also houses the county surrogate's office, had to be evacuated and caused a significant delay to case management processing.
Man questioned in Christmas Eve slaying
Myers was arrested following an investigation by the county sheriff's office. He's charged with second-degree false public alarm with immediate police response.
"Bomb threats are not something that we take lightly in Camden County. Bottom line here is if you are thoughtless enough to make a threat, rest assured we will track you down and arrest you," Camden County Sheriff Gilbert "Whip" Wilson said Thursday in a news release.
The case against Myers is pending in Camden County Superior Court.
