Three boys and a girl become first babies born at area hospitals
Four babies in South Jersey shared a very important title Sunday -- first babies of the new year at four South Jersey hospitals.
Kennedy Health -- Washington Township
The first baby born in Gloucester County in 2017 was delivered at Kennedy University Hospital in Washington Township. William Robert Schleicher was welcomed at 5:32 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, weighing in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 19 inches long. The proud parents, Brittany Mingone and Dan Schleicher, are from Washington Township. The baby, the couple's first, was delivered by Kennedy OB/GYN Dr. Stephanie Finley.
Virtua Health System -- Voorhees
Virtua welcomed its first baby of the new year -- a baby boy born at 12:00:13 a.m. Sawyer became the first baby of the New Year born at Virtua in Voorhees. He weighed 8 pounds and is 19.75 inches long. Sawyer is the son of Patrick and Chelsea Nelson from Mullica Hill. Sawyer is the couple's second son, they have a 2-year-old.
Inspira Medical Center -- Vineland
Jolene Nichole Hannah was the first baby born at Inspira in Vineland. She weighed 6 pounds and 1 ounce and is 19 inches long. Jolene was born at 6:45 a.m. Jolene is the daughter of Shannon Nichole Bernek and Harry Hannah, both of Millville. The baby was delivered by Physician Fred Nichols, D.O.
Inspira Medical Center -- Woodbury
Daulton Warfle was the first baby born at Inspira in Woodbury. He was born on Jan. 1 at 1:12 p.m. and weighed 6 pounds and 2 ounces and is 18 inches long. Daulton's parents are Sarah and Darrick Warfle of Runnemede. The baby was delivered by Physician Leisa D. O'Flynn, D.O.
