Jenna Marie Griffin was a seventh grader at Somerdale Park School, according to the school's PTA.

SOMERDALE -- The victim who was killed when she was crossing the White Horse Pike Saturday night has been identified as Jenna Marie Griffin, a 13-year-old student at Somerdale Park School.

While police did not return calls for comment Tuesday, Police Chief Anthony Campbell posted on the department's Facebook page that Griffin was the victim and said she was the daughter of one of the borough's crossing guards.

On a Gofundme page, her brother, John J. Griffin III, described Jenna Griffin as the youngest of four siblings who loved her family, friends, her four dogs and music.

"Jenna has touched the lives of many people," he said.

Somerdale Park School Superintendent Dennis Vespe said Tuesday afternoon that Jenna Griffin was in the seventh grade.

"The district is very saddened by this loss to the school community," he said. "The district is doing everything we can to support the Griffin family, as well as the community and students."

John Griffin III wrote that though his parents work a total of three jobs, they have been struggling financially and will have a hard time covering the cost of funeral arrangements.

The Gofundme page, seeking $12,000 to pay for Griffin's funeral arrangements, had raised over $7,500 by Tuesday afternoon.

The Somerdale Parent-Teacher Association has started the Jenna Marie Griffin Memorial Fund to support the Griffin family.

According to the obituary, Jenna Griffin's services will be held Wednesday at Eugene J. Zale Funeral Home in Stratford. Viewing and visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. followed immediately by the service.

Donations can also be made to the funeral home to help pay for Griffin's arrangements, according to the obituary.
