The boy's death wasn't reported in 2016 by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

PENNSAUKEN TWP. -- The November 2016 death of a 2-year-old Pennsauken, boy who was reportedly killed as a result of blunt-force trauma, is being investigated as a homicide.

The boy's death, which was first reported by the Courier-Post, was not listed on the CCPO's running list of monthly homicide victims for 2016. However, the death was reflected on New Jersey State Police's fourth quarter Uniform Crime Report -- which shows two homicide victims in Pennsauken that month.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday. A spokesman told the newspaper that the death, which occurred at the toddler's home along Woodlane Avenue, is still under investigation and no arrests had been made.

Pennsauken's second November 2016 homicide was the fatal Nov. 5 shooting of a 26-year-old Camden man during an event at a privately-owned catering club, which was announced by authorities.

The November death of the toddler identified as "V.G." wasn't the first of its kind for Pennsauken in 2016. In August of that year, Zachery Tricoche, 24, was charged with first-degree murder for allegedly fatally striking 2-year-old Jamil Baskerville Jr.
