The suspect is believed to be in his 20s, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9, with patchy facial hair, according to police.
GLOUCESTER TWP -- Police are investigating a possible abduction attempt that took place Monday evening.
Police said they received a report about a 20- to 30-year-old woman who was assaulted by a man who tried to pull her into a vehicle on Mayapple Road.
According to police, the suspect drove up to the victim, who was outside her home, and started talking to her.
The victim screamed, alerting family members inside the home, when he tried to force her into the car, police said. She did not sustain any injuries.
The suspect fled toward Sicklerville Road.
He is believed to be in his 20s, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9, with patchy facial hair. Police said he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
