The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they collided, police said.

WINSLOW TWP. -- A man was killed and a woman seriously injured in a crash on Route 73 early Friday.

Winslow police identified the man who died as Paul Pankley, 69, of Pershing Lane in Sicklerville.

The driver of the other vehicle, Kathleen Kevenaar, 52, of Kerhart Avenue in Berlin, was in serious condition when she was taken to the hospital after the crash, according to a statement from police.

Police said the accident occurred at 6:33 a.m. at the intersection of Route 73 and East Charter Avenue. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police said it appears Pankey was driving south while Kevenaar was traveling north when they collided.

Both drivers were taken to Cooper University Hospital, where Pankey succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Winslow Township police at 609-567-0700.
