Succulents to seeds -- get some sage advice

Collingswood Library and The Horticultural Society of SJ hold gardening workshops

The following gardening workshops will take place in April:

April 11 at 7 p.m. -- Year-Round Succulent Gardening for Mid-Atlantic Gardeners.

Carmen Tilelli Hall, 820 Mercer St. in Cherry Hill. The Horticultural Society of South Jersey presents, Year-Round Succulent Gardening for Mid-Atlantic Gardeners. Jessie Keith, a horticulturist, writer, garden photographer, and educator, will discuss hardy succulents which offer diverse, tough beauty and often provide year-round interest. These water-saving ornamentals provide "garden insurance" for periods of seasonal heat and drought. April 14 at 7 p.m. -- April Seed Library Hours with the SJ Seed Circle Library

Collingswood Public Library, 771 Haddon Ave. in Collingswood. The seed library will be open and available. There is still time to get your seeds so you will be ready to start plants like tomatoes and peppers. Stop by to pick up some seeds for your garden. There will be knowledgeable people on hand to answer questions relating to caring for your seeds. April 20, doors open at 6:30 p.m. -- Film and Farmer Green Event

Collingswood Library, 771 Haddon Ave. in Collingswood. After seeing the movie "Truck Farm," your creative inner gardener will be unleashed and unstoppable. Screening, starts promptly at 7 p.m., will be followed by sage advice for gardeners of any experience level from local farmer Julie Pierre of Our Yards Farm. Pierre will also have organic seedlings for sale for your garden. Organic popcorn and a door prize, free and open to the public.
