Congressman Donald Norcross will discuss security enhancement funding
CHERRY HILL -- On Friday, April 7, Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ-01) and Dr. Christopher Rodriguez, Director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, will hold a community meeting highlighting security enhancement funding for religious organizations and non-profit agencies.
The state has made $1 million available to eligible 501c3 non-profit organizations in nine counties, including the seven South Jersey counties, who can apply for grants of up to $50,000. The community meeting Friday will describe the grant application process and include a Q&A about the Security Enhancements Countering Unmitigated Risk in New Jersey (SECUR-NJ) program.
The meeting will be held at The Betty and Milton Katz Jewish Community Center on 1301 Springdale Road in Cherry Hill on Friday, April 7 at noon.

Norcross is constantly fighting for greater security funding for South Jersey religious and community centers. He recently applauded the State's decision to provide new SECUR-NJ grants. He said: "We need all the resources we can muster to stop and contain acts of violence before they happen. Our religious centers, community centers and critical infrastructure sites are all vulnerable to attack, and I will fight to ensure they're secure and South Jersey families are protected."
