CAMDEN -- The fourth University of Rutgers-Camden Comic Con Saturday had already hit record breaking numbers by late morning Saturday, even as people continued to flood in to the event throughout the day.
One organizer estimated the crowd at around 3,000 people, ranging from kids to adults.
The event featured panel discussions and talks, including some from comic book authors or artists, activities for kids and, of course, cosplay. Even the Walt Whitman statue in front of the Campus Center was wearing a red cape for the event.
A cosplay contest in the Community Center in the afternoon drew a massive audience. Attendees cheered as cosplayers came on stage and wielded fake weapons, flexed their muscles, and sometimes uttered a few lines in character.
