Police said officers who responded to the crash found she was slurring and smelled of alcohol.
MEDFORD TWP. -- A 46-year-old Shamong woman appeared to be drunk when she got into an accident with her son in the car Wednesday, Medford police said.
Lt. Arthur Waterman said Tracy A. Tirotti-Skahan and her 14-year-old son were involved in a minor crash at 3:30 p.m. at the Pinelands Plaza at 617 Stokes Road. No one was injured.
Officers who responded to the crash talked with Tirotti-Skahan and realized she was slurring her speech and had alcohol on her breath, according to a press release from Medford police.
Field sobriety tests were administered and Tirotti-Skahan was arrested, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a minor passenger, and reckless driving.
