A New Jersey woman who worked as an officer manager for a dental practice in Pennsylvania has been sentenced to prison for stealing $55,000 from the office, according to a report.
Jackie Singer, 50, of Pennsauken received a sentence of 11.5 to 23 months in state prison, TimesHerald.com said. She was sentenced Friday in a courtroom in Montgomery County and was ordered to turn herself in May 5.
Singer also got seven years of probation and must pay restitution.
Convicted in October, Singer wrote checks to herself by forging the dentist's signature and paid personal bills using the dental practice's accounts from 2008 to 2014.
She also opened a credit card in the name of the Julie Robin Arouh Dental Practice and made additional purchases.
The Camden County resident used some of the stolen money to fund trips to Las Vegas and the Caribbean as well as to buy items from Coach and Tiffany's from 2008 to 14, according to the district attorney's office.
The dentist's office is in Abington.
