He attempted to break the front-door glass with a hammer, and was caught on surveillance video, police say.
GLOUCESTER CITY -- A city resident was arrested after police say he was seen trying to break into an Express Market.
On May 7, just after 6:30 a.m., a man tried to burglarize the Express Market on Monmouth Street by attempting to smash the front-door glass with a hammer. According to police, video surveillance footage led to the identification of Michael Oehlert, 27, as the suspect.
Oehlert was charged with criminal attempted burglary and criminal mischief.
He was processed and released.
