The two men are the fourth and fifth homicides in the city in 2017.
CAMDEN -- For the second time in two days, a man was found shot to death in the city.
Shapaul Johnson, 18, of Camden, was shot once at 7:27 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Thurman Street, according to a release from the Camden County prosecutor's office.
Police responded to the scene due to Shot Spotter notification and several 911 calls.
Johnson died from the gunshot wound at Cooper University Hospital around 1:35 a.m. Friday.
No arrests have been made in connection with his killing or the death a day earlier of another city resident, Edward Whittle Jr., 30.
Whittle was shot multiple times Wednesday at 7:18 p.m. in the 1300 block of Carl Miller Boulevard, according to the prosecutor's office. He died at Cooper University Hospital two hours later.

Whittle and Johnson were the fourth and fifth homicides of 2017 in Camden, according to information from the prosecutor's office. By this time last year, there had already been 17 homicides in the city.
Authorities are hoping people with information about the killings will come forward to help with the investigation.
