GLOUCESTER TWP. -- The motorcyclist whose vehicle collided with a truck on Berlin-Cross Keys Road Thursday afternoon is hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.
The crash at 4:26 p.m. caused the motorcycle to catch fire, and its burnt remains sat in the road at the ramp to the Atlantic City Expressway while police reconstructed the crash. The road was closed for about an hour, police said.
Police said the motorcyclist had severe injuries to his leg, arm and face and was transported to Cooper University Hospital. The other driver was not injured.
The department did not release the drivers' names or give any details about how the crash occurred. Calls and emails seeking details were not returned Friday.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team.
