Volunteers and members of The Perfecting Church provides a "taste" of a five-star dining experience with live music served up by 7Electricity and a preThanksgiving meal prepared by acclaimed Chef Lucmann Pierre of Le Pierre Caterers. After dining sufficiently, guests enjoyed a "to-go" bag full of recipes and groceries to make their own Perfect Thanksgiving meal.
Now in its fifth year, The Perfect Thanksgiving seeks to provide a memorable dining experience and food for their neighbors at risk of dining alone or not at all, while granting volunteers the opportunity to give back and positively impact the lives of others with their time, talents and resources.
More than 200 people attended the event where 100 volunteers served up the Thanksgiving meal that was held Nov. 21 at Winslow Township School in Sicklerville.
The Perfect Thanksgiving is an anchor activity of Loving Our Cities, the community outreach arm of The Perfecting Church designed to enhance the quality of life in communities where we live, work, serve and worship by mobilizing people to be the church instead of just attending one.
Perfecting Church meets on Sundays at 10 a.m. in the Investors Bank Performing Arts Center at Washington Township High School. For more information, visit theperfectingchurch.org or call 856-817-6223.
