Fire and rescue personnel responded to the Runnemede home in the area of South Read Avenue at roughly 2 a.m., according to reports.

The two homeowners woke up after their dog started barking after the fire spread from the basement to the rest of the house, reports say.
Both residents made it out of the home safely and firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
