Man used bogus ATM card to withdraw cash at area Wawa stores, police also say
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP -- Police are searching for man who stole someone's identity and used it to obtain a debit card from the victim's bank.
The suspect, seen in video (above) recently shot at Wawa stores on Somerdale Road and in Collingswood, used the card to take cash out of machines at Wawa stores in Gloucester, Lindenwold, Oaklyn and Collingswood.
The first video of the suspect was captured from the Somerdale Road Wawa in Gloucester Township on Dec. 8 around 7:30 p.m. and shows the suspect as a passenger in a white SUV parked in the distance. The second video was captured at the Collingswood Wawa Dec. 12 at 8:50 a.m.
Anyone with information is being asked to call the Gloucester Township Police Department at 856-228-4500, or the department's Anonymous Crime Tip Line, 856-842-5560. Tips can also be sent via text with the keyword TIP GLOTWPPD and the tip message to 888777, or tips can be submitted online here.
