VOORHEES -- A South Jersey mother delivered her own baby in her pick-up truck before making it to the hospital early Tuesday morning, 6abc reports.

Keshia Melchiorre and her husband Steve, of Southampton, were on their way to Virtua Hospital in Voorhees to deliver their baby, reports said.

Meichiorre was almost to the hospital but the couple didn't make it to the hospital. The couple stopped and their baby girl was born inside the truck.

Portia Melchoirre -- who was due on Jan. 23 -- was born, weighing 4 pounds and 12 ounces.

The couple finally made it to the hospital, according to reports, where medical staff met the couple and cut the umbilical cord.
