CAMDEN -- A total of four families have been displaced since an early morning blaze ripped through several homes in South Jersey.
Fire and rescue personnel responded to Haddon Avenue around 5 a.m. Thursday for the fire that spread through housing at 814, 815, 818 A & B.
Emergency assistance was provided for 13 Camden residences -- 6 adults and 7 children, according to American Red Cross Communications Director Laura Steinmetz.

Haddon Avenue was deserted and quiet Thursday afternoon.
Initial reports said that two families were left displaced from the fire, but as the day went on, two more families needed assistance.
Disaster volunteers met with the families to provide hope and help, including temporary lodging.
Several other neighboring homes have smoke and water damage.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
