When Judy Kluska of the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia went shopping at Cherry Hill Mall on New Year's Day, she never imagined the trip would introduce her to the power of social media.
According to nbcphiladelphia.com, Kluska lost her 33-year-old engagement ring sometime while browsing a "couple different stores."
Kluska told NBC she had gone to the mall to return some Christmas gifts. When she was leaving around 4 p.m., she realized her ring was missing.
According to reports, Kluska went back into the mall and showed shop owners a picture of her ring, but no one had seen her jewelry in their store.
Finally, her son Jason Kluska posted the picture on Facebook, reports said.
Jason told NBC his post was shared more than 11,000 times and was luckily seen by John Kaiser, a fellow Port Richmond resident who had also been shopping in Cherry Hill Mall that day.
Kaiser said his fiance' saw the ring lying on the floor while she was chasing their son around the mall, reports said. She picked the ring up and took it home.
Later that day, Kaiser's mother saw the picture of the lost ring on Facebook and told her son about the post, reports said.
Kaiser immediately contacted Jason who got a bit creative while returning the ring to his mom.
Jason got down on one knee, presented the recently found ring to his mother while asking, "Would you be my mother?" reports said.
Judy Kluska told NBC she was shocked that her ring was found so quickly, and that she is "just so happy to have it back."
