CAMDEN -- A national mentoring organization has merged chapters to better serve local youth, officials announced.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region will now cover Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania, and Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties in New Jersey.
The organization announced the merge, which will provide mentoring to kids in the Southeast Pennsylvania and South Jersey area.
Big Brothers Big Sisters receives grant from BNY Mellon
More than 200,000 kids have been involved in mentoring through the organization.
January is mentorship month in an effort to attract more mentors and raise awareness of the need.
