Authorities investigate Voorhees shooting that left man wounded

The incident took place on the 100 block of S. Burnt Mill Road in Voorhees, authorities said.

CAMDEN -- A man is in stable condition after being shot in Voorhees Friday night, authorities said.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Voorhees Police Department are investigating the incident.

Around 7:38 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 100 block of S. Burnt Mill Road in Voorhees for a report of a person shot.

Authorities said when officers and emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene they found the victim, 25, outside his residence.

The man was taken by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

On Saturday the man, who was not identified by police, was reported to be in stable condition.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
